The Rayguard Empire is one of the major powers of Langrisser II.

Under the leadership of its founder, Kaiser Bernhardt, it has conquered and annexed almost every other nation on El Sallia. Its primary enemy is the Kingdom of Kalxath, which has resisted Rayguard's attempts at annexation and galvanized the support of other anti-imperialist nations.

Its armies are led by four generals; General Leon, commander of the Blue Dragon Knights; General Vargas, commander of the Blazing Dragon Army; General Egbert, commander of the Dark Dragon Sorcerers; and General Imelda, commander of the Ice Dragon Navy.

In the Imperial Path of Der Langrisser, a fifth division of the Rayguard military, the Radiant Dragon Knights, is created when Elwin pledges loyalty to Bernhardt.
