Users who use this website should also be aware that venturing on any page outside of the Guide sections will be met with spoilers. Nothing will be done to hide said spoilers so venture at your own risk.

Goals

The Walls of Elthlead wishes to become the main English Langrisser Website, rivaling the old Langrisser.info site, our desire is to be the most informative English Langrisser resources.

Our primary goals are directed toward the Classic Series, Langrisser I-V and the Elthlead Trilogy not the Mobile game. Though we will still cover it and any other Langrisser title.

Naming Schemes

Names on this wiki will follow the Official Translations in parts but not always. The administration of this wiki will have the final word, but discussion is welcome on the talk page of the name's style guide.

  • As such expect Langrisser I and II to follow the names in the NIS America Translation of Langrisser I and II, with some exceptions.
    • Such as Lucilis which will remain Lushiris throughout the wiki
  • Likewise Langrisser Re:Incarnation names will be taken from the Official Translation.
  • Whereas Langrisser III-V will use a mixture of important fan-translations and official sources.

For a fuller treatment and a listing of names please see our style guide

Canon Policy

The Langrisser Series is known for its branching in Langrisser II and IV as well, its multiple endings for individual characters as well as for III-V a love point system for the chosen heroine. As such there are multiple options for the game.

This wiki in certain instances will make an assumption based on later entries and other material to make choices of cannon. For example, while Der Langrisser has multiple paths, Langrisser II, which preceded it, showed a Light Path. Therefore the wiki will assume a Light Path with some variant as the "canon" path for each entry in this wiki.

This wiki also chooses to give a canon pairing of Diehärte and Freya and Lewin and Tiaris based in part on the stories presented in Langrisser III. Entries will in as much as possible seek to include information from each path and ending, even as a "canonical one" is chosen.

Langrisser Re: Incarnation is only semi-canon, with some elements of the game will be considered canon but most being non-canon. For example, the game acts as if Digos is a Descendant of Light as well as having the blood of Böser in his veins, this we consider canon, as Digos being able to wield Langrisser in the PCE remake as well as the newest remakes support this.

Considering Langrisser Mobile, this game is considered a side story and only semi-canon. For now, the events in the game will be recognized as the next story segment in the Langrisser Universe. What this means is that in the Mobile game when a story element contradicted the lore established in the original 5 games it will be considered an error and not a retcon. For example, Langrisser Mobile's treatment of the Langrisser Re:Incarnation games has been less than ideal, with the mobile devs changing character personalities to adding story elements that contradict the original game.

As for the Langrisser I and II remakes by Chara-ani this falls under the same rules as the mobile. So Betty will be added as additional lore, however, the lore we used will be based on the dramatic version.

We recognize that some of this will seem arbitrary, but hopefully, the reader can also recognize that they are free to disagree with our opinion, in the end, it will not affect their enjoyment of the game's stories. Yet as noted previously, we are trying to help bridge connections in the series's lore and this we feel is a necessary part of that.

As such this wiki assumes as canonical

  • The Dramatic Version of Langrisser I
  • Light Path for Langrisser II, the path where you kill Bernhardt instead of Böser(the path closes to Langrisser II MD story)
  • Extended Path for Langrisser III
  • Path C for Langrisser IV
  • Canon Pairing of Diehärte and Flaire
  • Canon Pairing of Lewin and Tiaris
  • Canon Pairing of Landius and Angelina

One final word on canon, when possible, this wiki will pull from supplementary sources such as the Novels, Guide Books, etc., but the games themselves will remain the final authority, and outsides sources, however official, will only be used to supplement where possible and will be fully noted on this wiki.
